Do not trust this company with your money

I met with a representative of this company who explained their services as a "Banking facility" He stated that anything put forward as investments would be 100% refundable, "Just like a savings account". After signing papers, the next day I emailed him I did not want to go forward with this. Never heard from the scam artist again. The company started making auto deposits from my account and after 18 months of fighting they closed the account and kept $1500 of my money.

Beware of salesmen coming to your door

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
In march of 2019 a salesman came to my door trying to sell me life insurance. I told him i didnt want to sign up right then as i was leaving the country. He took down all my i formation and assured me over and over that u til i signed papers that came in the mail, nothing would be auto paid. While in europe i noticed they had taken money out of my account. I called them numerous times and they assured me (after i agreed to sign my name) and mail it to them that i would get refunded my money. Its been over 6 months now and i am still waiting. CAUTION! ! Do not give them your information!!!!

I think he concerned he was deceived and they accessed his personal accounts without his authorization. In fact that’s a crime. I would certainly be upset!!

It seems kind of funny that he's worried about losing $31 and he's on a vacation to Europe spending thousands

Buyer Beware and read the Policy closely!

I purchased a whole life policy 10 years ago and made it clear to the agent that I did not want to be paying the premium on the policy when I had "one foot in the grave". He was supposed to set up a 10 year payment schedule. I did a recent follow-up with the company of my scheduled payment plan only to find out that I am supposed to be paying the premium till the age of 100! Yikes! I am 66 years old, and the face of the policy is $250,000. At a yearly premium of $7860, the cumulative premium I would be paying is over $346,000! with a $250,000 face value,This is a complete waste of money!

This company is bad news

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I had a Forester's financial advisor at my home to discuss enrollment. The problem is with the answers he gave me: 1. He told me this investment would be like a savings account and I could withdraw my amounts at any time WITH NO PENALTIES. 2. He told me that this was set up to help older people, still working to create an additional retirement fund. After considering his words I signed a paper, but the following day I emailed him to cancel any auto withdrawals to my banking account. He did not reply and the following month deductions of $125 started on my account. Again I requested cancelling via email but received no reply. No one from Forester's EVER contacted me, they just continued to take money. Now 15 months after I finally sent a request via website to stop these payments. They sent a form to cancel the contract. It took four months to get them to stop taking payments and another three months to request my money back. I was told the penalty for closing the account was more than the $1500 they had taken from me. They are RIP OFF artists. Never contacting me directly, passing me back and forth when I called directly and never telling me there was a penalty to close. The representative that signed me up, Mr Russo had never returned a call or email.

The worst customer phone service

Foresters Financial - The worst customer phone service
Foresters Financial - The worst customer phone service - Image 2

My welcome letter gives this tel. no.

- 800 828 ****, 8 am to 8 pm EST to contact for any question I have about my Foresters policy (see part of letter attached).

I called the no. and after 40 minutes on hold (see screenshot from my phone), the staff asked for my Policy #, which I gave. She then rudely told me that the tel. no.

was not the correct one and she would transfer me to the relevant agent for that product. When she did, the recording told me that the office was now closed as it was past 5:30 pm - of course it was!

I called at 5 pm EST and was on hold for 40 minutes, and then the staff puts me through to a no. that is 'closed' due to after hours.

I wish I had never bought my policy from them, their service is the worst I have come across.

How can you raise a contract to 700 a month when the policy premium has 1,053.60 a year up to the age of 94?

Because you have a stated level period with term insurance. Once that level period is over the premiums may go up yearly or every 5 years until you reach age 94.

The older you get the more your coverage costs. You should have permanent insurance where the premiums are level.

Price taking a vantage of the elderly.

Price taking a vantage of the elderly. The same thing going on with my dad he’s 87 his contract has a premium of 1.053.60 up until he’s 94. How can they raise the premium? Looks like I might have to get a lawyer. 600 a month is a lot of money compared to the premium price per year.

I have had my policy for about 6 months now. I called in August because I was off work on FMLA for about 2 months and needed to stop the payments temporarily from coming out as other bills took priority. I called and was on hold for about 30 min. And their customer service is not open on weekends. When I finally got in touch in someone I spoke to a gentleman who claimed he put everything in and that i would receive a letter at the end of September asking how to make up the missed payments. I said no problem. Well the end of August came and the money had come out of my account. So I called them and stated that I was told they would stop the payments for August and September and I wanted them to reverse the debit they took. Well according to the lady that I spoke with they had "no record" of me calling in or speaking to anyone earlier that month. Imagine how upset i was that i had waited on hold for 30 minutes, verified my pklicy information with this man and was told that everything was taken care of, only to have the money still taken out and then when i call to straighten things out they tell me there is no record of the conversation. So I said to the woman how is that possible? Most upstanding companies have some sort of automated call log or records calls to ensure that customers needs/problems are taken care of. She tells me that that i have to fax their department a written statement about what happened so that they could open an investigation to see what happened which could take 30-60 days. So i said well in the meantime whike tgis is happening please reverse the charge and she says they dont refund/reverse charges. WHAT! My otger insurances can cancel/reverse charges why cant they? So I said well I'm not comfortable knowing you're supposed to protect my assests and take care of my family when I die but as a company you can't even keep track of when your customers call and you have customer service people act like they are doing something when they really aren't. So what do i need to do to cancel my policy? She said i have to fax a letter to the same department and it takes 25-45 days to cancel. so i asked what happens to the money ive paid in the past 6 months because Im clearly not dead which means nothing has been used so i shoukd get my money back? She goes "No that money covers you monthly" so you will not get your money back. Well this is funny to me because the agent told me that My policy was effective immediately when they received payment, and now im reading otger people saying that they were told their policy doesnt take full affect until 2 years. And now they wont even give me my money back. all i can say is research better and find another company because this one isnt worth it.

I am having the same awful experience with a death claim. I suggest staying away from Foresters if possible. They are more interesting in holding on to your money than honoring a death claim.
